Science at Dame Bradbury's provides an opportunity to get a fundamental grounding in many key principles as they move through Pre-Prep.  Whether topics, linked through their thematic theme, are purely hands on, follow a written format or explore the use of the digital, at the heart of what the children explore lies the key components of good science:

  • formulating scientific questions
  • planning testing and independent research projects
  • analysing results and concluding upon the process.

We aim to enthuse and excite, building a love of science from an early age which we hope the children continue throughout their schooling.

From Year 4 upwards the children have lessons in our well-equipped science lab and in Years 5 and 6 children having their learning opportunities delivered by specialist teachers.

Located on the outskirts of Cambridge, we are well aware of the ground-breaking science that is happening on our door step and we therefore have built links with professional bodies to increase our learners knowledge of the scientific world around us.
