We have been delighted to have been invited to take part in the Walk to School events organised by SWACC (Saffron Walden action on Climate Change) and there has been a very positive response from both parents and pupils.
SWACC are a vibrant, community-centred group in Saffron Walden who are growing in size and promoting measured, practical and well-informed ideas for how we can help fight climate change. This week’s Walk to School event coincided with national Clean Air Day, which makes it all the more relevant. Looking ahead to the last week of term and our foundation-wide Festival of Learning on 9 July, we will be focusing on sustainability and regeneration, and climate change and clean air will be a particular focus for our Year 6 pupils. Do keep an eye open for the themes your own children will be looking at as there may well be ways you can help either in school or at home.
