Students who take the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the Stephen Perse Sixth Form have achieved this year an average score of 39.9 points. Once again, these results place the school in the top group of IB schools both in the UK and worldwide.
Staff at the Stephen Perse Foundation have regularly been in the news in recent months talking about the digital strategy we embarked on eight years ago to ensure that all students gain the skills and education they need for their future.
Children in Year 5 and 6 across the foundation recently enjoyed a hugely informative 'Google Meet' session with two of the world's most renowned Bionic people. Rob Spence - 'The EyeBorg' - joined us from his home in Toronto whilst Prof. Dr Bertold Meyer joined the meeting from his University in Chemnitz, Germany and told us of his life with his bionic arm.
Jakub K in year 13 was recently announced as a finalist in the Best Research category of the TeenTech Awards 2020. We are pleased to announce that on 29 June at the virtual finals, Jakub was announced as the winner of his category for his project 'Diluted white paint and its effect on the temperature under tiles'.
The prestigious Independent Schools of the Year 2020, an awards scheme run by the Independent School Parent portfolio of magazines, has shortlisted the Stephen Perse Foundation for the Prep School of the Year award. The award recognises a school “which offers an outstandingly rich experience for its students.”
Portrait for a Cause is a fundraising initiative for the victims of the Arbury Kingsway Flat fire that devasted seven homes back in May. Organised by Ethel Von Mann, a Design Engineering teacher at Stephen Perse, who has come up with an idea to help people in the community badly affected by the fire and gain a digital portrait of a friend or relative which is then posted to them as a surprise gift.
Two groups of Stephen Perse pupils entered their sustainability focused ideas into the 2020 TeenTech Awards.
Instrument teachers Mr Brennan and Mr Townend have brought together pupils from years 3-11 to create a virtual brass ensemble.
